Our Story

Clean Cut Painting & Handyman was founded by Ken Clark in 2015 when he retired and set out to offer the best contracting experience in Decatur. He built his business, a large referral network, and a loyal base of return clients on the belief that “Cleanliness is Quality” and that “Every Detail Matters.” Clean Cut was the perfect name because it represented not only the manner in which each work site was maintained but also the caliber of work delivered.

After Ken’s unexpected passing in December 2017, Dara White purchased Clean Cut from the Clark family. Together with her fiance, Colby Geiser, Dara is committed to continuing Ken’s legacy and his mission to change the typical experience clients have with home improvement contractors. The principles behind Clean Cut continue in our delivery of on-time quality work, prompt reliability, a high caliber of service, and a clean work site throughout the duration of each project.

Based on these principles, Dara and Colby have proudly grown the company to over 30 employees and an expanded service area throughout Decatur and central Illinois. Each project receives individual attention from Colby and Dara, working hand in hand with you and our experienced applicators. (A free color consultation is included with every project.)
